Rainham Wives is a small informal social group.
We meet in the hall behind Wakeley Methodist Church in Rainham on Monday evenings during term time from 8-  10pm.

The hall has a well-lit car park for the use of visitors and a ramp to the main doors and is a few minutes walk    from the railway station, and there are bus stops nearby.

The group has expanded recently and has been entertaining numbers of ladies over the last 25 years, there is no age limit and all are welcome.

We welcome all newcomers, you do not have to be a wife, or even married, and for a small charge to cover the  cost of hiring the hall, you have our company, refreshments and an entertaining/educational evening.

Although we don't meet during school holidays, please visit the site to see future events and changes in the gallery

  STOP PRESS

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People was chosen as our charity for the next year, proceeds from bring and buy sales and the silent auction will go to them. Paul and Yorik stole our hearts when they visited earlier this year. (meet Yorik on the Calendar page) We have decided that (those that wished to)  would donate money to this charity rather than give Christmas cards this yearalso as we are unable to donate Easter Eggs to the Salvation Army for distribution, the same will apply.

The Spring 2012 program is now on the Calendar

There are some great historical photos of Rainham and surrounding areas on the Medway Local Studies and Archives website
.
Type Rainham into the search box and see Rainham from late 1800's to 2009. This is an ongoing project so please return to see more. Medway Archives and Local Studies at Strood had a display all about Rainham in October.
